I borrowed a cello from a friend and figured the bow holding issue would probably be biggest obstacle to making the instrument work properly.
I'm a guitar, mandolin, mandola and mandocello picker (and luthier) who has no experience with a bowed instrument.
Long story short, I installed the Cellophant on the bow today, rosined it up, and produced good tone immediately.
What a great device! I also bought Bow Hold Buddies for use with the 19th-century family violin, so installing those is next.
Great designs. Excellent packaging, too. It's very gratifying to find a product that is so well-conceived and works perfectly.
PPS - Now if I can just find a cello with frets, we'll be set.
