"As a family run business, Gottschalk Music Center is proud to have served Central Valley musicians for over 77 years. Our string shop is located in the heart of "Old Town" Clovis California. The store is rapidly expanding the bowed string section, and has facilitated the need for a few minor remodels to squeeze a couple extra square feet out of our space. 

In addition to the very large rent-to-own fleet we supply for local students, we stock a wide range of instruments for those looking to purchase. We stock new and vintage instruments, with a very wide range of brands and features for the string musician. We carry everything from beginner outfits for first time players, to upper end instruments to satisfy Adult Amatuer and Collegiate musicians, and have strong connections with Luthiers who can satisfy the needs of Professional musicians. In addition to these instruments we keep a comprehensive supply of quality bows and supplies.

Our in-house string repairman has been repairing bowed string instruments for 15 years, and we offer swift turnaround on all types of repairs. He services and maintains a number of school owned fleets, as well as our stock rentals and all customer repairs that come through the door.
