We would love to hear from you!
Stephanie Baer, Director of String Studies, Music and Performing Arts Professions at NYU Steinhardt:
The Bow Buddy is a hit at NYU!
They've been a big hit at the string quartet program this summer.
I'm going to teach in Prague next week and want to bring them as a gift for the teachers there.
Best,
Stephanie Paul, Cellist, South Africa:
I used to play the cello semi-professionally.
6 years ago I badly damaged my right hand and in spite of reconstructive surgery could not play any more.
Since last year, with the help of a cellophant, my bow hand is learning again to 'work'.
I rarely use the cellophant now, but it was essential for the first 3 months.
Thank you so much.
Coolest annecdote heard at the NJMEA Conference:
"The kids are so eager to come to class and use a Bow Buddy or CelloPhant that I have to keep them from fighting over them.
I keep them under lock and key when class is not is session!" Jose, a High School Cello Student from Texas:
Hi my name is Jose.
I must say the CelloPhant worked wonders for my right hand!
I bonded with my CelloPhant, I named her Peanut :)
but I recently graduated from the CelloPhant and
my teacher took it back.... I miss Peanut :( Erika Lawson, Professional Violin/Viola:
I am faculty at American Festival for the Arts in Houston,
a summer music conservatory,
and was tickled pink when the cellist in the quartet I coached showed up w/a CELLOPHANT.
You invented something quite wonderful!!

Laurence, Adult Amateur, Philippines:
Ruth, thank you so much.
I received my elephants and its makes such a difference.
No more cramps, the sound is so much better, what a pleasure!
Natalie Murray, Marshall Middle School- Academy of Fine Arts Orchestra Director:
I had a few of my students use Things 4 Strings bow accessories during Texas UIL contest and sight-reading.
It was our first UIL contest ever, and we won the highest honors sweepstakes - all Ones!
The judges' written comments included compliments on great bow holds!
THANK YOU!
 Cordi Koga, The Strings Connection:
This thing is great.
You don't even have to be a good teacher to have your students pulling a great sound.
In fact you don't even have to teach.
Just put it on the bow and send 'em home to practice.
Just kidding - but it is a great invention!" Maureen H. Wightman, Adult Student:
Hi! Found you by putting "cello bow hold" in search on Yahoo.com.
I'm 54, been playing cello for a year & a half and am having great problems holding the bow.
Hopefully Mr. Cellophant will help!
Really wish he came in green but blue is cool too!
I'll keep you posted.
Update:
Well, Mr. Cellophant is a hit!
He really helps with my hold.
I was leery of taking the bow apart (didn't even know it CAME apart lol).
When packing my cello away, I just wrap my bow in a piece of fleece and lay it next to the strings (Cellophant near the bridge).
Fits perfectly!
I love my Cellophant!
I told my teacher about it and none of the other adults in the class laughed at me. Anna Starnovskaya, Shiki Violin Vchool, Tone-machi Kitasoma-gun, Ibaraki, Japan: Thank you for your wonderful creations!
I receive bow accessories yesterday.
The Frog & Fish will be pretty friends for my students,
and helpful for very soft small hand of Japanese
children.
I think that, it is very important "educational tools" for beginner.
Update:
"My new student likes your invention "The frog & Fish" very much!
Thankfully, she created a clear sound at first lesson.
Best regards from my student Kurea and her mother."
