Kansas City barbeque and wall to wall string teachers were wonderful at the ASTA conference last week, but next up is a SWEET trip to Hershey, PA for the PMEA Conference.  A graduate of the New School of Music and Temple University, our inventor Ruth Brons lived, taught and performed many years in the Philadelphia and south/central PA areas -- so this trip will be like going home!  So, please stop by and say "Hello!":

Grant Awarded



Congratulations to the students at Harbison West Elementary School, South Carolina.  Strings teacher Mary Hoyt is planning to double her program next year, despite budget challenges, and says the Jungle Mix Studio Kit awarded through the Things 4 Strings LLC Grant Program for Schools in Need will " make a huge difference.  This year I have two students who simply could not hold the bow without them."

Beautiful Bow Hold Proliferation!
We’re in 44 countries now, and in every state in the USA...except not YET in any of the US territories of Guam, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands or the Northern Mariana Islands. Who’s going to be the first there to welcome our herd in their studio? We’ll keep you posted!

"We recently tried the bow hold buddies from Strings 4 Things with a few beginners as well as intermediate players.
They worked great!
For those who could already play, the necessary bow hold corrections were done very quickly.
They practiced with the bow hold buddies at home, and the new habits formed effortlessly.
For beginners, they provided an easy and safe introduction to an excellent bowhold.
I have been known to be skeptical with regard to gadgets - but not here.
These bow hold buddies (and cellophants) work great, and we will keep using them!"
